Rule 2.044 – Refused or Unclaimed Cargo |

If cargo cannot be delivered because of the Consignee's refusal or inability to accept it or because Carrier cannot locate Consignee, the Carrier will make a diligent effort to notify the Consignor accordingly.
If Carrier is not given disposition instructions and satisfactory financial guarantees or payment for all charges due within sixty days of such notice, Carrier may then, subject to local regulations, either dispose of the cargo at
destination or return same to the United States for disposition in order to obtain payment for all lawful charges incurred.
