Rule 3.6: Special Equipment and Surcharge(s)
Special Equipment
Unless the equipment charge listed below is specifically provided for in the rate, the following Special Equipment Charge(s) shall apply on all moves. Note, this charge does not apply to shipper owned equipment.
Special Equipment is
defined as Carrier Owned Equipment - Tank, Open Top Container, Flatrack,
Platform, Flatbed, or Lowboy.
The surcharge will apply to all shipments originating from the Continental
United States to:

Flatrack with Post(s) Collapsed
In addition to the Special Equipment Charge listed
above, all flatracks for ocean transportation with any of the posts collapsed or
lowered will be subject to the charge set forth below:
This surcharge will apply to all shipments to/from the USVI:

Flatrack Securing (Banding) Charges
Whenever Carrier must protect and secure cargo for Shipper
Loaded Equipment and Banding or Strapping is required either by shipper,
shipper’s agent/consignee or in judgment of Carrier, the Carrier will provide
same at the following charges:
This surcharge will apply to all shipments to/from the USVI:
| 20' Equipment | $80.00 |
| 40' Equipment | $100.00 |
If Carrier should provide materials only the following charge will be assessed: $10.00 per strap or band.
Banding and Visqueen
Where Carrier must protect and secure cargo, either by request from the shipper or shipper’s agent/Consignee or in judgment of Carrier, the Carrier will provide same at the following charges (Visqueen 4/6 mil.):
This surcharge will apply to all shipments to/from the USVI:

Visqueen
Where Carrier must protect the
cargo from weather or moisture, either by request from the Shipper or Shipper’s
Agent/Consignee or by Carrier’s judgment an additional service charge will be
assessed as follows: (Visqueen 4/6 mil)
This surcharge will apply to all shipments to/from the USVI:

If the condition of the cargo requires the Carrier
to provide a liner for a container the following charge will apply:
