Rule 2.19: No Guarantee of Stow for Carrier Loading; Rating Overflow Cargo Caused by Improper Stowing of Cargo by Carrier

Carrier will use best efforts to load cargo into the correct equipment size in order to optimize the stowage of the cargo, taking into consideration the equipment capacity, safety concerns, weight limitations and the characteristics of the cargo.  Carrier does not guarantee the stowage of any minimum quantity of cargo when it loads equipment.  However, if the equipment is loaded by the Carrier and the container is improperly stowed, resulting in overflow cargo, the overflow will not be charged an additional ocean freight charge.
